This policy explains what information MayBit may collect through this website, why it is used and what choices are available to you.
Who is responsible for the data
MayBit is responsible for the personal data processed through this website. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at geral@maybit.pt.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we receive your name, company, email address, optional phone number and the information you provide about the business challenge. If you accept analytics cookies, we also receive usage metrics such as pages viewed, device type, browser and approximate location. Form contents are not sent to Google Analytics.
Why we use it
We use data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a conversation, manage the professional relationship, protect the form against abuse and, only with the relevant consent, provide external functionality and understand aggregated website usage. We do not sell personal data.
Legal bases for processing
Contact data is processed to take steps requested by you and in MayBit's legitimate interest in communicating with prospective clients. reCAPTCHA and Microsoft Bookings load only with functional consent; Google Analytics requires analytics consent. Any consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Delivery through Microsoft 365
Contact requests are delivered through Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online. Microsoft may process the submitted information as needed to provide and secure this email service.
Online meeting scheduling
When you use direct booking, Microsoft Bookings processes the details needed to show availability, create the appointment and send its confirmations. Booking information is stored within the MayBit Microsoft 365 environment.
Google Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and understand website usage. The implementation does not use User-ID, Google Signals or advertising personalisation, and does not load the Analytics tag before consent. Google acts as a technology provider subject to its own terms and data protection measures.
Providers and international transfers
Microsoft and Google may process data using infrastructure located outside Portugal or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, processing is subject to the applicable mechanisms and safeguards made available by each provider.
How long we keep it
We keep contact data for as long as needed to respond, follow up the relationship and meet legal obligations. Analytics cookies have a configured maximum lifetime of 13 months; event retention within the Analytics property depends on MayBit's administrative setting.
Your rights
Under applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data and object to certain processing. You can withdraw functional and analytics consent through ‘Manage cookies’ in the footer without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Protection against automated submissions
With functional consent, the contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to identify automated abuse. The service may process technical information about the device and interaction for security purposes, subject to Google's privacy policy and terms. Without this consent, reCAPTCHA is not loaded and the form remains unavailable.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses local storage to remember the theme and privacy choice, and a session cookie to remember the selected language. reCAPTCHA and Microsoft Bookings load only with functional consent; Google Analytics only with analytics consent. We do not use advertising cookies.
Complaints
If you believe the processing of your data breaches applicable law, you may contact MayBit and also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
